OUR SUSTAINABILITY JOURNEY STARTS HERE
At Franklees, we’re passionate about doing our part to repair and preserve our beautiful planet. As a business, we understand the importance of taking action to help restore the environment and protect Mother Nature by doing all we can.
We’re very excited to announce that Franklees has partnered with Greenpop, an award-winning registered non-profit organisation headquartered in Cape Town, South Africa.

WHY GREENPOP?
Greenpop works to restore ecosystems and empower environmental stewards through forest restoration, urban greening, food gardening, and environmental awareness projects across Sub-Saharan Africa. Greenpop was founded in 2010 and has since planted over 174,000 trees and inspired over 150,000 active citizens across South Africa, Zambia, Malawi, and Tanzania.
What we love about Greenpop is that they prioritise holistic ecological principles and work closely with local communities to ensure the most sustainable impact over the long term. This means supproting the protection and restoration of indigenous systems, without the use of ‘seed bombs’, monocultures, drone planting or invasives.

WHY FOREST RESTORATION?
Reforestation, when properly implemented, is an effective nature-based solution to climate change that helps to restore habits and ecosystems while also creating jobs and income.
Forests provide vital services to both people and the planet, bolstering livelihoods, providing clean air and water, conserving biodiversity and responding to climate change. They hold more than three-quarters of the world’s terrestrial biodiversity, provide many products and services that contribute to socio-economic development, and are a critical lifeline for hundreds of millions of people in rural areas, including many of the world’s poorest. In short, forests make life on this planet possible.
